To qualify to enter players must have played three qualifying competitions in the previous 12 months.

Pairs matchplay competition. Pick your own partners. Handicap limit: 24 Handicap allowance 3/4 difference.
Prince Smith Cup
Singles matchplay competition. Handicap limit: 18. Handicap allowance full difference.
Syd Wilson Trophy
Pairs matchplay competition. Partners drawn. Handicap-13-28. Handicap allowance 3/4 difference.
The above competitions are open to entry by all Gents Full and Country Members.
Scratch Cup
Singles matchplay competition. Handicap limit: 12. Played from scratch.
Scratch Cup open to entry by Gents Full, Country and Junior Members.
John Hornby Trophies
Mixed foursomes matchplay competition.Handicap limit: Gents: 28, Ladies: 36. Handicap allowance 3/8 differencecombined handicaps. Gents tee off from first tee. Ladies tee off from second tee, etc.
John Hornby Trophy open to all Full and Country Members.
In all matchplay competitions, competitors should agree before play commences the format in the event of a tie. The match to be replayed over 18 holes OR sudden death play off, using the stroke index of the course.
